Indigenous nations and communities are under increasing pressure to develop long-term sustainable economic development strategies.
The creation of the Center for Indigenous Economic Development and Entrepreneurship (CIEDE) at The
Anderson School of Management is timely given the importance and variety of issues permeating the
study and practice of indigenous entrepreneurship on a regional, national, and global scale.
Indigenous entrepreneurship is at the core of current and future economic development for indigenous nations and communities around the State of New Mexico and nationally.
Through CIEDE The Anderson School of Management will interact with indigenous people and business in the private, public and tribal/community sectors to facilitate and foster indigenous business opportunities and solutions.
CIEDE will also function as conduit for networking, problem-solving, and business opportunities for The Anderson School of Management business students & faculty, indigenous business and non-indigenous business.
